An Inspiring New Chapter: Home Depot

The Challenge

Create a secluded environment in a warehouse-styled store whereby consumers can review ideas in publications and allow themselves to dream big.

The Smart Idea

It’s a fact: When a consumer first looks through home improvement and design publications, they spend more at the register.

But how do you get a busy do-it-yourselfer to slow down and peruse? By creating a secluded environment that protects the consumer from outside distractions and encourages them to stay and browse a while.

We created an “Ideas and Inspirations” theme with large graphics that greets consumers the minute they enter the store. An inset display invites shoppers to thumb through publications, which are organized by categories.

Consumers continue to see the Ideas and Inspirations logo on displays in departments throughout the store, with each display featuring publications relevant to that department.
